The conference - what happens on the day

B-Sides London 2012 will be a single day full of security talks, by you, for you and it can only happen with your participation.

57 Proposed talks

We will be at the Barbican and we have booked Cinemas 2 & 3, Garden room and Conservatory. Please take the Barbican "Virtual tour" for further information about the venue.

We had 57 talks submitted (I want to see the talks in offer) and after voting the result is a pretty tight schedule of talks. Our advice, plan your day and ensure you have enough resting and playing time. All our talks, with the exception of those marked with a red asterisk (*), will be filmed thanks to Twist&Shout who is helping us once again with the media production.

The un-conference track (track 3) how does it roll?

Like in other unconferences, here the unexpected happens. Bring your talk, presentation or paper and offer it on the day, wrangle some attendees and make it happen. Let your creativity flow. This is the perfect track for those who hate to plan the day and just like to go with the flow. Right now we are planning these to be in the conservatory so it may end up being more like a "speaker's corner".

Do you want to get a personal tutorial with one of our experienced participants? These guys want to share their experience so if you want to be hands on in a small group, check out the workshops we have lined up on the day. The setting is likely to be a small group around a table using your own laptop. Check the workshop section for more info. Booking for these sesiions will be in a first come first server basis. What's on offer.

Community tables

There is a fantastic richness of projects and interest groups out there. Depending on the space we will be showcasing some interesting things for your pleasure.
